Dead But Dreaming Has A Trailer… And It Is A Good One

21 Jun

Presenting for your consideration… DEAD BUT DREAMING – the new film from director Jac Avila.

Looks good, doesn’t it?

And I’m not just saying that because I worked on the film. I genuinely think this looks like a good movie and I’m looking forward to watching it when it hits Bolivian cinemas on July 25th.

And I think you should be looking forward to seeing it too.

It will be made available for the rest of the world, on DVD and VOD download directly from Pachamama Films at a date to be announced later.

Here are some particulars…

The film is an epic horror tale, which jumps around through several time periods and locations (10,000 BC / 57 BC / and 1805 – during Bolivia’s War of Independence).

The large cast features Amy Hesketh, Veronique Paintoux, Mila Joya, Jorge Ortiz and Jac Avila.

A couple of those people are vampires, others aren’t.

It’s an ambitious undertaking to juggle all these characters and bounce around different eras while doing it. Based on the trailer, I’d say Jac Avila and company have pulled it off, yielding an arresting and exciting film.

I especially like the tagline, which translates as: “On July 25th, the vampires are coming to La Paz.”

There has never been a Bolivian vampire movie before. It’s always exciting to see cinematic firsts.

There will be more info about Dead But Dreaming on this site in the coming weeks. So stay tuned.
